Americanization
Today’s business world’s most of the well known heads belong to America. American brands lead all markets. Coke remains a ‘must’ than water for guys who try to imitate Americans. I think, this is not the loyalty for coke and it has become a way of showing their loyalty to America for people who live in those nations which are economically, socially and culturally so far from USA especially for the people who live in third world countries of Asia. Coke reflects the American lifestyle and several etcs. It would be better if we can say ‘Americanizing the world’ rather than saying globalizing. There is no globalizing. It is only Americanizing. We want ipods, iphones, ibangles (the latest Apple’s product) and all other irange products of Apple. We feel proud to say that our role models are Obama, Abraham Lingan, Bill Gates and all other America’s big heads. We watch ‘American idle’ and try to be the first to say that we are the fans of someone who participate in the Programme. We want all what they are doing, we do dream America, we do trust America will bring peace to the world, we do believe Obama will change the world, we want to follow them even if they are doing some rubbish, and are simply Americanizing ourselves. I don’t know how this disease (dream of being an American, imitating Americans and acting as Americans and so on) started? There are some countries which really practice the concepts of socialism and Marxism. Why don’t we bother to make them role models? There are some countries which believe in humanity and the concept of human factor is the best. Why don’t we dream to go there? Why don’t we even consider to think of Japan’s ‘country first, family second and at last myself’ policy? We know only to act like Americans while dating, clubbing and drinking. And I am saying this is more dangerous than AH1M1 as this disease of 'being mad at America' continues to spread each and every minute.

Based on comments
As I got some interesting comments on my article ‘Tamil culture and my view on it’, it induced me to write something about the actual dowry system which was in practice in the traditional Tamil culture and how now it has been changed. There is a great discrepancy between what was introduced and what is being practiced. In the traditional culture, men had to give a huge amount of money and assets to the brides’ families. This kind of a dowry system is in practice in countries such as Kenya and some other. But at the current era, people had changed the actual system which was created and most of them are even not aware of it. Anyhow according to my view, both systems are not suitable to the current world. And a common complaint is there that women belong to bride grooms’ families seem to force grooms to ask dowry. This is somewhat a desecrated characteristic of most women in our society. Anyhow what I am saying is guys are guts less to say that they are never going to do it. If they are good enough at earning and self confident, who else can force them? Only others can influence but the decisions are in your hands.

So bored
Nowadays I am so bored of looking at newspapers and magazines. What is the point of seriously discussing about the x boyfriends of Angelina Julie and about the girls go behind Salmaan and Tom Cruise? I know there are some useful stuffs in magazines. But you may have noticed, mostly front pages would contain a hot shot of a beauty and would be titled in a third class way. Generally the ones who buy these magazines are consciously forced to buy because of those hot topics and shots. So they never touch other serious issues. Simply they are not the targeted customers. Accordingly there is no loyalty for the magazine. If another person publishes hotter topic than you, purely customers will switch to them. Some say ‘this is kind of a promotion’. But how do you say this is kind of promotion for your magazine since you are selling the unknown sides of popular ones? This is just a gossip. Gossips make no useful results. Simply another better gossip provider may lead the market tomorrow. But no longer even he will vanish. If you really want a success in this industry, you have to do a research on who are really interested on reading the issues that you are focusing on. Then you select a target and focus your issues based on them. Also keeping an eye on the changes of your target customers’ tastes will further help in improving. People who buy you for Britney spears or Angelina Julie or who ever, they won’t even bother to loyal you. But if you really offer some value to your readers, then definitely you will have a group of people who always prefer you. Even at the recession times, you don’t need to worry.
