From an optimistic’s point of view

See the world from an optimistic ‘point of view. This world is full of opportunities. You have a lot that others don’t have. You have food to survive, water to drink, people to love you etc. Think of people who don’t have them and struggle to even survive in the world. We always think about what we don’t have. I can remember a statement said by someone “Compare your facilities with the people who are under your position and compare you with who do more for your society than you.” An optimist can change the obstacles as opportunities. Thomas Alva Edition could not continue his studies in school. But he did not lose anything. He achieved more in the life than the people who studied in schools. Don’t think poverty as an obstacle. Poverty gives a lot of experiences to our life. When a rich person suddenly becomes poor he realizes who love him and who love his money. It gives an opportunity to understand people. Histories say that poor people became leaders of the world. India’s last president Abdul Kalam born in a remote village that doesn’t have even basic facilities such as electricity and schools. But no one didn’t think that he would become as the president of India. There are millions of success stories of optimists. They always think positively. So see the world as an optimist. This world is full of opportunities. But it is in your hand whether to use them or not.

Without a meaning

I write quite after a long time. I feel my mind has gone for a sick. It doesn’t allow me to think about a topic specifically and write on it. I believe more than 30 years old Sri Lankan civil war has come to an end after a long time. But there is no conclusions yet. I can remember a statement which was said by some one ‘wars temporarily come to an end. But the reasons why they started still remain same.’

Civil war of Sri Lanka seems to be same. It took lags of people’s lives. Majority of population affected by this war became vulnerable to continue their lives in this planet. How many people went foreign countries as refugees? Most of them don’t see their relatives for years and years. I also worry about the resources other than people’s lives in North and East of Sri Lanka. Jaffna is known for calmera trees. But it is very hard to find these trees nowadays. Majority of calmera trees were destroyed in military operations.

A war doesn’t affect only human beings. It affects animals, birds, small living beings and even the whole land. This is what happened to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Think of youth who wasted their talents in war. They could have become leaders of any field. This war did not give a meaning for the people who lost their lives within last 35 years. We live in a world that doesn’t give a meaning for our lives. There is no meaning for deaths, fights, blood and even tears.

Full of cries

This world is full of cries. Sometimes I feel cries become meaningless. Nowadays it is very rare to see a person who made others to cry feels sorry for it. Some people cry for hours. Some others cry for few years and some cry for even their whole life. If you notice, it will be the same people who get harms in the life again and again. Think of people who lost all their family members in Tsunami and living alone. I know one gentle man who lost his seven children and dearest wife to tsunami. And the most tragedy is that he was a solemn god believer. Most obviously war took off millions of people’s lives and think of the ones who gave up their families to war.

It is amazing the discrepancies of life of people who live in this planet. Some are demanding for pizza and they can’t survive without pizza, coke, BMW, McDonalds and other brands that they think these are the only things which make paradise in their life. On the other hand, other part of world is dying without having a cup of porridge at least once a day. Still this discrepancy between haves and not haves decide the cries of world. Haves can be money haves, power haves, brave haves or anything and others are not. Always these haves try to dominate not haves. This would be the ultimate reason for why people cry. If these discrepancies can be eliminated, then a new world will be there that doesn’t have cries anywhere.

I can remember a philosophy about cries of life which was said by someone. A baby announces its birth to the world by its cry. This cry makes others happy since it makes sure that the baby is born without any problems. This baby grows up and either stimulates others’ smile or cry. The one who made others happy in his lifetime makes others to cry when he or she dies. But a person who made others to cry makes them to laugh when he or she dies.
